The Event Lawn or Civic Core will be located at the heart of Woodward Place and cater to both everyday use and large programmed events.
A celebration space that can accommodate 30,000 people and doubles up as an emergency assembly for the city south as well as an informal training space. A fixed performance stage and a number of peripheral sporting and flexible active spaces with tree plantings in strategic locations will greatly improve comfort and experience.
A range of active use including multi-use sporting parks co-located with sports fields, district sporting parks, local sports facilities and pop-up or temporary park opportunitues.
Provide local community sporting facilities which are flexible to host a range of recreational activities and community events.
